Berry Jerry State Forest sits on the side of Old Man Creek alongside the Sturt Highway west of Wagga Wagga. It is a rather large reserve with excellent camping and fishing available. Entrance to the reserve is from a roadside rest area that has an excellent composting toilet. Once inside the park facilities do not exist so be prepared to be self sufficient. Access is by 2WD in dry weather and 4WD in the wet seasons. There are a couple of areas suitable for launching a small boat from the bank
The entrance is well signed however be aware of fire restrictions in the dry
This toilet sits on the highway however there are no facilities inside
Old Man Creek is a tributary of the Murrumbidgee River and offers excellent fishing
Lots of grassy areas suitable for camping. Beware these are red river gums that love to shed branches
