CAMEL CAMPER TRAILER ELECTRICS

240 VOLT POWER
The Camel Camper is set up with a full 240 volt power box that has a RCCB safety switch inside that meets caravan wiring standards.  This then runs through to a double power point just inside the kitchen,  This was supplied and fitted by Camel



The 240 volt power inlet sits at the drivers side rear of the trailer

NOTE: FOR YOUR SAFETY PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE POWER CABLE BEFORE OPENING THE BOX



Double power point sits just inside the kitchen


12 VOLT POWER
The 12 volt system is via an 80 ah deep cycle battery that was supplied and mounted by Camel and a Waeco
Battery Pack that has two 18 ah cells




The battery box is bolted to a frame at the rear of the passenger side of the trailer.
The red and black wires run to an outlet just inside the kitchen door




Battery box has a basic tester as well as a push button circuit breaker.
It also has a cigarette lighter style outlet

Waeco Battery Pack

SOLAR POWER BATTERY CHARGER

The Projecta 12 volt 80 watt solar panels provide charging power for the two batteries
It is expected that these will provide between 5 and 6 amp hours of power




The unit consists of two 40 watt panels joined by hinges



The kit came complete with stands, cables, pegs for holding down and padded carry bag




This unit has a built in solar controller that protects from overcharging and solar discharge
