The Washpool Camping Reserve is on the banks of Leslie Dam near rural Warwick in Queensland. The Dam is managed by Sunwater and has been stocked with Murray Cod, Yellowbelly and Silver Perch
How to get there
Leslie Dam is situated 13 kilometres west of Warwick in Queensland. Signs will direct you from the town
Facilities
Washpool Camping Reserve is privately run and camping fees apply. It is bush camping with all the facilities of a caravan park. Disabled friendly toilets, picnic tables and shelter sheds, barbecues with wood provided and running water. The amenities block includes hot showrers. There is also a public telephone. There are even some powered sites for caravans if you need them
What to do
Leslie Dam is stocked with native fish so fishing is one of the primary activities with many also going there for boating activities such as sailing, sail boarding, canoeing and water skiing. The area boasts a good boat ramp however the end of thge ramp can be some distance from the water in dry periods. Swimming in the summer months is also very popular
