CAMP OVEN COOKING IN AUSTRALIA (COCIA®)

I often wonder just how many abandoned homesteads are around the country.  These photos show one on the Riverina.  Looking at what remains I can not help but think that there is so much history lost in this district.  This would have been a rather large home in its day complete with it's own well that is still there.  The remains show four chimneys as well as the remains of the kitchen stove.  Births, deaths marriages and hard decisions would have occured within its walls.  Sadly all thats left is a skeleton of remains.
